Hi, I'm John - a Brit and this site, www.modelyachting.org exists mainly out of my own frustrations when trying to find (current) resources about model yachting. It started out purely as my own collection of sites but quickly grew into a full directory and now open to anyone to submit to. Recently we've launched the start of a model yacht database, user submitted yachts and photographs which will hopefully grow into an exhaustive list of yachts sailed today.

I build websites for a living, I'm not a designer, I do the bit that makes all the magic happen, deep down at the code level - so this site also serves as my playground for trying out new techniques. It's massively over engineered and has a near to zero day to day cost.

Oh I've been sailing model yachts myself for a number of years now, currently sailing a Widget.

It's quite simple;
